National Citizen Service is a Big Society initiative, supporting young people from all backgrounds to work together, take on new challenges and make a difference.
- No cost programme
- 3 weeks full time
- including 2 weeks residential
- plus 30 hours part time
- for 16 year olds / Year 11 school leavers Summer 2012
1,300 places up for grabs across Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton on Tees
National Citizen Service (NCS) will be a fun and exciting way to spend some of your summer holiday. It is a chance to try new things and prove to yourself and others what you can do.
Taking part in NCS will give you the opportunity to help others and give something to your community through a project that you and your team-mates will design.
By taking part in NCS you'll learn new skills that will make your future brighter and show that young people make a positive impact in their community.
It's also a chance to have fun and meet new people.
